Description:

As a Software Engineer & Frontend Tech Lead at Volvo Group’s Group Digital & IT, you will architect, design, and develop modular, reusable, and cloud-native frontend solutions and reference architectures. You'll mentor and guide engineers, drive feature development with product and design teams, ensure security and DevSecOps compliance, and contribute to a suite of starter kits and components that accelerate digital transformation globally.

Your role sits in a central advisory team collaborating closely with product squads, design, security, and platform teams to deliver value at scale, with a strong focus on SPAs and microfrontends. You will balance architectural leadership with hands-on coding and continuous skills development. Regular cross-functional collaboration, influence, and occasional travel are part of this high-impact, global role.

Key Technical Skills:

React, Angular, Node.js, TypeScript, frontend architecture, modular component design, DevSecOps practices, cloud-native frontend development (Azure, AWS, GCP), modern CI/CD, team mentoring, security best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related discipline
• 3+ years experience as a tech lead in frontend engineering, architecture, and design
• Demonstrated expertise with React, Angular, Node.js, TypeScript
• Ability to collaborate across teams, influence architectural direction, and deliver reusable starter kits/components
• Understanding of security, DevSecOps, and cloud-native systems
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and technical advisory capabilities
• Prior experience in advisory/platform teams is preferred
